Boys Basketball Picks Up First Win of Season
After a rocky start to the new season, the Flyers opened up Suburban West Conference play as they travelled to Fox. The Flyers came out and took an early lead, and although the Warriors would fight back many times and get it within two in the last minute of the game, Lindbergh never relinquished the lead. The Flyers would hit free throws in the last minute to secure their first win of the season by a score of 70-63. Senior Bill Uthoff led the Flyer attack with 21 points while senior Charles Little was right behind him adding 20 points while hitting three of four three pointers. John Lane added 11 and Cole Buescher added 10 points. Lindbergh will have its home opener on Thursday as the Eureka Wildcats pay a visit to LHS. The Flyers will also play host to Springfield Glendale on Friday at 7:30. After Friday, Lindbergh will take time to get ready for the always difficult Meramec Holiday Tournament as they will take on the Troy Trojans on Saturday, December 22 at 1:00 pm at Meramec Community College.
